Chris and I hit it off and bonded over our mutual love of Star Wars all the way back in college. I'd only ever seen the movies, and he introduced me to the extended universe collection of novels, comics, and source books that are now no longer canon after Disney's buyout. Still, when they announced Episode VII, we were cautiously optimistic.
Like a lot of fans, we weren't overly fond of the prequels, but we were loyal to the fandom as a whole. We hoped Disney would harken back to Episodes IV-VI, and we were relieved they did when we took the girls to see the newest installment earlier this year. Our eldest is just as big of a fan as we are, and she's so attached to Rey, I simply had to make a scent inspired by her. I also couldn't stop there, so I decided to make a soap inspired by Finn as well.
First up, we have The Awakened which was inspired by Rey. This earthy and spicy scent is a blend of carnation, sandalwood, cinnamon, fresh soil, and musk.
The soaps are a blend of goat milk and glycerin soap hand cut to resemble an abstract blue lightsaber floating on a field of marbled cream and tan.
Next there's Rebel Trooper inspired by Finn. The soaps are a blend of goat milk and glycerin soap colored with mineral oxide and mica powder hand shaped to resemble an abstract close up on Finn's blood streaked helmet.
The fragrance is a rich blend of sage, cinnamon, fir, pine needles, strawberries, citrus, white sandalwood, orange blossom, lily of the valley, lavender, and musk.
Like all our bath and body products, these soaps are dye, detergent, paraben, and phthalate free to be as gentle as possible. They will become available through our store on June 25, 2016.
